Biographical Information[edit]
Bill Randall was a Negro League outfielder briefly. He spent 1932-1941 with minor black clubs. In 1942, he made it to the Homestead Grays. He remained with them for 1943, backing up talented flyhawks like Cool Papa Bell, Jerry Benjamin and Vic Harris.
Randall was in the US Military from 1943-1946, playing ball with Larry Doby in 1944 for the Great Lakes Naval Training Center Blue Jackets. After the war, he played for Homestead again for part of 1946. He then played for minor clubs through 1956.
