Biographical Information[edit]
Bill Kennedy pitched 13 seasons in Organized ball from 1939 to 1953, three in the Major Leagues and 11 in the minors, losing three years to the Military. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe as a paratrooper for three years during World War II (BN). He pitched parts of three seasons with the Washington Senators. He became a brakeman and conductor for the Richmond, Fredericksburg and Potomac Railroad, retiring in 1982. He died at age 76 and is buried at Mount Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria VA.
