Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Bill Kautzer played in the Chicago White Sox system from 1973 to 1976. He was taken in the 4th round of the 1973 amateur draft.

He never pitched above A ball, nor did he win 10 games in a season. In fact, he never posted a winning record, finishing even at .500 once. Perhaps his best campaign was 1975, when he went 7-11 with a 3.69 ERA in 139 innings, allowing just 131 hits and completing seven games. Overall, he was 13-25 with a 4.22 ERA in 76 games.

He later served as a police officer.
