Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Bill Jones entered the professional ranks with a bang, going 24-4 with a 3.91 ERA in 35 games for the Lamesa Lobos in 1947; In 253 innings, he allowed 297 hits and 86 walks. He led the West Texas-New Mexico League in wins, winning percentage and innings pitched. In 1948, he was 5-14 with a 6.94 ERA in 23 games. His stats for 1949, his final campaign, are incomplete.
