Biographical Information[edit]
Bill Howe was an All-American outfielder in 1947 alongside Jackie Jensen. He appearred in the first College World Series in 1947 along with his long time friend, George H.W. Bush.
Howe previously had been a first lieutenant during World War II, having served in the Air Force. He ran Howe's Racquet Shop in Providence, RI, never playing baseball professionally.
