Biographical Information[edit]
Bill Harris played for the New York Giants farm club, the Jersey City Giants, from 1939 to 1943, then managed their Erie Sailors farm team in 1944 and 1945, and scouted for the Giants from 1946 to 1951. He also managed the Porterville Packers for part of the 1950 season. Harris moved on to the New York Yankees as a scout from 1952 to 1956. He managed the Reds' Yuma Sun Sox entry in the Arizona-Mexico League for a portion of 1956. Next he scouted for the Washington Senators in 1957 and 1959, before returning to the Yankees from 1960 to 1962.
