Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Bill Foley was drafted out of high school by the Minnesota Twins in the 25th round of the 1974 amateur draft. Opting for college, Foley was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 6th round of the 1977 amateur draft. In his second year of pro ball, Foley led the 1978 Midwest League with 34 HR and 265 TB. He hit .318 to win league MVP honors. Foley made it to AAA in 1980, but never made the majors. He batted .308 with 23 HR and 106 RBI in AA in 1982 and finished his career in 1983 in AAA.
