Biographical Information[edit]
Bill Endicott appeared in 20 games for the St. Louis Cardinals in 1946 but was only in the field for two games, both in left field. The Cards went on to win the 1946 World Series.
Endicott was born in Acorn, MO, in central Missouri. He began playing minor league ball at age 18 in 1937, and usually hit over .300. However, World War II interrupted his career after 1941.
This site says he briefly played for the Union City Greyhounds in 1936.
The St. Petersburg Times of March 9, 1946 stated that Endicott had a leg injury and thus missed a spring training game.
Endicott was the oldest living former St. Louis Cardinals player until his passing.
