Biographical Information

Pitcher Bill Deck played for the Hilldale Club in 1927 and 1928, the Hilldale Giants in 1929, the Negro National League's Philadelphia Stars in 1939 and the Bacharach Giants from 1939 to 1942. He later played for the (then-minor) Giants from 1947 to 1951. If records are correct, he began playing at 12 years old or so.[1]

From 1943 to 1946, he served in the United States Marine Corps.
