Biographical Information[edit]
Everett "Bill" Bankston was one of the players used by Connie Mack in his rebuilding effort on the Philadelphia Athletics in 1915. His big league tenure lasted 11 games, batting .139 with 3 XBH in 36 at bats.
Playing for the Cordele Ramblers in his first season of pro ball, Bankston led all of organized ball with 31 homers; he never again hit more than 10 in any season, but did lead the 1920 South Atlantic League (the loop he spent most of his career in) with 86 RBI, and the 1925 Sally League with a .388 batting average.
