Biographical Information[edit]
Betty Francis was an outfielder in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. She played for the Chicago Colleens (1949), Muskegon Lassies (1949), Kalamazoo Lassies (1950-1953) and South Bend Blue Sox (1954). Her best season in raw numbers was her last -- in 1954, she hit .350 with eight home runs and 58 RBI in 90 games. Before that, she had never hit higher than .256 in a season. League offensive levels skyrocketed in the final AAGPBL campaign.
In 429 career games, she batted .251 with 9 home runs and 125 RBI.
