Bert Myers played three years in the major leagues, getting most of his at-bats for the 1896 St. Louis Browns.

Myers was born in Frederick, MD and was playing minor league ball in 1894 by the age of 20. After playing for Nashville in 1895 he came to the majors in 1896. He became the regular third baseman on a team whose strongest hitter was the 38-year-old Roger Connor.

Bert played for Milwaukee in 1897 and then for the 1898 Washington Senators. After playing in 1899 for Springfield, he came back to the majors in 1900 for seven games with the 1900 Phillies, a team which featured both Ed Delahanty and Nap Lajoie. He also played for Hartford in 1900.

The book Connie Mack and the Early Years of Baseball indicates that Myers had held out in 1897 and again held out in 1898 when he was offered less than $200/month. Mack was quite put out by it.
