Bert V. Dunne

Bert Dunne made his money as an advertising executive in San Francisco, CA. He owned the Salt Lake City Bees in 1950 and was very active in the team, giving advice (often unsolicited) to players; this behavior led to a run-in with outfielder Herman Wedemeyer. Dunne wrote several books on baseball for kids, including Play Ball, Son, which was in print for many years.
