Biographical Information[edit]
Philadelphia's Bert Conn appeared in 12 games in the majors across three seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies. In his first two looks, he was a pitcher; in the last, he was a second baseman. As a hitter, he slugged .400 in 30 at bats on the strength of two doubles and a triple. On the mound, his ERA was 7.77 in 24 1/3 innings. Conn also played 17 seasons in the minors, pitching some years while playing infield or outfield other years. He was a player-manager at Johnstown (1910-12) and Trenton (1913).
