Biographical Information[edit]
Shortstop Bernie DeViveiros spent nineteen years in the minor leagues between 1921 and 1940, while spending 1927 with the Detroit Tigers. He spent all or parts of 1928 and 1930-1936 in AA (at that time the highest level in the minors), mostly in the Pacific Coast League.
After his playing days, DeViveiros was a scout and base running instructor for the Detroit Tigers from 1946-1972. He signed George Gmelch.
