Biographical Information[edit]
Bernardo Moreno has pitched for the Salvadoran national team.
Moreno was 2-2 with 3 saves and a 7.85 ERA in junior college in the US in 2016 and improved to 3.15 as a sophomore. [1] For El Salvador, he allowed five hits and three walks in 2 1/3 IP in the 2017 Bolivarian Games but avoided giving up a run; he struck out one. He had the best ERA on the team. [2] In the 2017 Central American Games the next month, he made two appearances. Relieving Nelson Alfaro in the 4th against Gold Medal winner Nicaragua, he allowed three hits (including an Elmer Reyes homer) and three runs in a third of an inning before Félix Rodas took over. Versus Silver Medal winner Panama, he took over from Eduardo Palacios in the 9th with a 5-2 lead, two on and no out but proceeded to take the loss, allowing a hit, two walks and three runs (all earned); Rodas again replaced him. He transferred to Mid-America Christian and was 0-1 with a 10.53 ERA as a junior, with a 2.64 WHIP. He was 0-1 with a 10.29 ERA in two games as a senior then was redshirted due to injury. [4] He was 0-3 with four saves and a 5.40 ERA as a redshirt senior then 2-3 with a save and a 4.43 ERA as a graduate student, fanning 37 in 22 1/3 IP.
