Team History[edit]
While the Berkshire Brewers only played one season, the team (based in Pittsfield, MA) did go down in Eastern League history. Dan Thomas won a Triple Crown in 1976, becoming the fourth player in the history of the EL to accomplish that feat. No player in the 30 years since has won a Triple Crown.
The team had previously been a Texas Rangers farm team named the Pittsfield Rangers. Following the 1976 season, the team was sold to new owners in Holyoke, MA, where they became the Holyoke Millers.
