Biographical Information

Benn Karr pitched some 20 years in organized baseball, including six years for the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians and 15 years in the minors. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I.

After he retired from baseball, he moved to Earle, AR and became a planter. He died at age 75 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Memphis, TN and is buried at Crittendon Memorial Park in Marion, AR.
