Ben Turner has been a minor league player. His brother Jacob Turner has played in the majors.

Ben was All-State three times in high school, hitting .412 overall and setting career school records for hits, doubles and RBI. He was 5 for 23 with a double and 3 walks as a college freshman and 4 for 10 as a sophomore. Becoming the starting catcher as a junior, he hit .269/.385/.303. He batted .284/.373/.353 as a senior. The San Francisco Giants took him in the 21st round of the 2012 amateur draft. Dan Murray was the scout. Turner did not play that summer then debuted in 2013 with the Augusta GreenJackets, alternating between catcher and first base.
