Belleville Athletic Field

Belleville Athletic Field served as home to the Belleville Stags from 1947-1949. The 3,500 seat facility was located at 901 S. Illinois Street at Cleveland Avenue (Route 159 and IL 13) in Belleville, IL. The Stags were charter members of the Illinois State League in 1947 and the Mississippi-Ohio Valley League in 1949, with the MOVL eventually becoming the Midwest League in 1956. As the park and team were funded by Stag Beer, the park was often referred to as Stag Park. Today, the location is an auto dealership.
