Baja California

Baja California (Lower California in English) is a state in northwestern Mexico that largely occupies a peninsula located between the Gulf of California and the Pacific Ocean. The state borders the United States and California to the north, and Baja California del Sur to the south. Most of the population is concentrated in the northern portion of the state, with the state capital Mexicali and its largest city, Tijuana both being located on the U.S. border. Other cities include Ensenada and Rosarito.
