Biographical Information[edit]

Bailey Vuylsteke played two seasons at Jefferson College, earning a 3.43 earned run average in 44 innings as a sophomore for a team that reached the 2018 NJCAA Division I Baseball World Series. He finished his playing career with two seasons at Miami University and graduated in 2020 with a degree in Sports Management and Leadership.

Vuylsteke began his baseball coaching career in 2021 at the collegiate level. During the summer of 2021 he was an assistant coach for the Quincy Gems, but took over as manager in mid-season. Vuylsteke spent the 2022 collegiate season as the assistant coach for pitching with the Iowa Western Community College Reivers. In August 2022 he accepted a volunteer assistant coaching position at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, but only stayed into early 2023. Vuylsteke also agreed to manage the O'Fallon Hoots during the 2023 Prospect League season before cancelling that agreement as well.

The change in plans was a direct result of joining the Baltimore Orioles organization in early 2023. He served as the DSL Orioles Black pitching coach that season and returned in the same role in 2024.
