Biographical Information

Avery Sullivan was a pitcher at Texas Wesleyan University and graduated in 2016 with a degree in exercise science. From there he went on to earn a master's degree in exercise science from the University of Texas at Arlington with the focus of his research being biomechanics. According to his LinkedIn page, during his college years he worked a number of jobs related to his field of study. These include:

• 2012-2017 Lead instructor at The Complete Athlete
• 2018-2019 Personal trainer at MINDSET Fitness & Yoga
• 2018-2019 Performance lab associate/biomechanics researcher at TMI Sports Medicine

The Texas Rangers hired Sullivan in mid-2019 and he worked as an assistant pitching coach for the AZL Rangers. Sullivan spent 2020-2021 as a pitching research and development coach within the Rangers organization. He may also have coached the ACL Rangers team in 2021. In 2022 he served as the development coach for the Frisco RoughRiders.
