Biographical Information[edit]

Starting pitcher Austin Voth began his professional career in 2013.

The hurler was taken by the Washington Nationals in the 5th round of the 2013 amateur draft. The scout was Fred Costello. Between the GCL Nationals, Auburn Doubledays and Hagerstown Suns that year, he went 3-0 with a 1.75 ERA in 11 starts, striking out 55 batters in 46 1/3 innings. He pitched for Hagerstown, the Potomac Nationals and Harrisburg Senators in 2014 and went a combined 7-7 with a 2.77 ERA in 24 starts. He struck out 133 batters in 126 2/3 innings while allowing only 89 hits to earn South Atlantic League Mid-Season All-Star honors. He began 2015 with Harrisburg.

He made his major league debut for the Nationals on July 14, 2018, starting against the New York Mets in Washington's penultimate game before hosting the 2018 All-Star Game, but he gave up 7 runs in 4 1/3 innings and was charged with a 7-4 loss.
