Biographical Information[edit]

Arthur Paturel is a first baseman in Division Elite. A left-hander, he also plays the outfield and has been used occasionally on the mound, where he throws sidearm. He was 0 for 2 with a hit-by-pitch for the French junior team in the 2009 European Junior Championship. He was 0 for 10 with a run, 3 hit-by-pitch and four whiffs in the 2010 World Junior Championship. Originally from the Rouen, Haute-Normandie area, he spent the 2010 season with the Templiers de Sénart, hitting .235/.360/.265 and going 0-1 with a 11.00 ERA on the hill. He tied for 5th in the league in times plunked. In 2011, he fell to .202/.346/.202 offensively as the main 1B for the Templiers, fielding .984. He had a 1-2, 13.25 record with a 2.66 WHIP. He again was hit by 10 pitches, tied for 3rd in the league this time.

Paturel's father, Jean-Luc Paturel, is a former player himself and was a coach for Sénart in 2012-2013. In 2014, Arthur moved back to his hometown of Rouen, Haute-Normandie, playing for the Huskies de Rouen. His brother Charles Paturel also is a player.
