Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher/first baseman Art Lizzette played in the minor leagues from 1905 to 1910 and from 1912 to 1914. He was generally a low-average hitter, though he managed a .283 mark in 233 at-bats for the St. Paul/La Crosse Colts in 1913. He managed the Rochester Bugs in 1912 and perhaps the Fort William-Port Arthur Canucks in 1914, though the BR Bullpen lists their manager as Abel Lizotte.
One source says he also played for the Superior Red Sox in 1911 and the Bugs in 1912, though Baseball Reference says played in the Nebraska State League in 1912.[1]
