Biographical Information[edit]
Art Castillo played for three seasons in the minors. His brother Marty Castillo would play in the majors.
The Minnesota Twins picked Art in the 4th round of the January 1973 draft. He hit .257/.339/.386 that year for the Geneva Twins, while manning the outfield. He struck out in 63 of 252 at-bats. The next year, he batted .229/.289/.316 for the Wisconsin Rapids Twins and also took his hand at pitching, with two shutout innings. He was a full-time hurler in 1975 and was 5-2 with a save and a 3.12 ERA for Wisconsin Rapids to end his career.
