Arley Sánchez (also known as Arleys Sánchez) has pitched in Cuba for several years.

The southpaw debuted in the 2002-2003 Serie Nacional for the Industriales, going 6-2 with 7 saves and a 2.25 ERA; in 55 2/3 innings, the rookie fanned 64 while allowing only 41 hits. In 2003-2004, he was 1-1 with 5 saves and a 2.28 ERA.

His strong relief work enabled him to move to the rotation, where he was 5-4 with a 4.44 in 2004-2005. The Havana native improved to 6-4, 4.04 record in 2005-2006. In 2006-2007, he was one of Cuba's top pitchers, with a 10-4, 2.01 record. He finished 8th in the league in ERA. He was with the Cuban national team that year.

In the 2007 World Port Tournament, he went 2-0 with a save and 2 runs (none earned) in 14 2/3 IP. He tied Leon Boyd, Alberto Bicet and Yadel Martí for the most wins and was second in ERA, as Boyd also allowed no earned runs but in 1/3 more innings.

The left-hander allowed one run in 5 1/3 innings in the 2007 Baseball World Cup and saved the win over Germany. In the 2007-2008 season, he fell to 6-4, 4.91 in the Serie Nacional. He rebounded somewhat in 2008-2009, with a 8-6, 4.29 record and two saves.
