Biographical Information[edit]
Argenis Gil was an amateur infielder. He played for the Venezuelan national team in the 1950s. He won Silver in the 1951 Amateur World Series. He was only 4 for 30 in the 1955 Pan American Games but Venezuela still won the Bronze Medal. In the 1959 Central American and Caribbean Games, he helped Venezuela to a Silver, going 4 for 16 with 3 runs and fielding .889, backing up Gus Gil at 3B and Domingo Martin at SS.
