Apenisa Nawalu was a two-way player for the Fijian national team in the 2003 South Pacific Games. He went 3 for 13 with 3 runs and 4 RBI, leading Fiji in RBI and second on the team in runs (3 behind Inoke Niubalavu) and tied for second in hits (6 behind Niubalavu). He also pitched four innings (9 H, 1 BB, 1 K, 17 R, 8 ER). He was 3rd in the Games in runs allowed (trailing Hampton Saua and John Lebeoa) and tied for 5th in earned runs allowed.
