Biographical Information[edit]

Ann Cindric was a pitcher in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League for two seasons before injury ended her career.

Cindric started out with the Muskegon Lassies in 1948 but played in just three games before her season was cut short by a chipped bone in one of her fingers. In those three games she batted 1 for 10. Moving to the Springfield Sallies, she did not appear in a game in 1949. She returned with Springfield in 1950 but another finger injury ended her baseball career. In her final year, she went 3-2 and hit .231 for Springfield, a development team which only played the league's other development team.

Cindric later spent five years in the Dominican missionary convent and worked in a nursing home office until her retirement. She enjoyed playing the button box accordion and guitar and had fond memories of the two years she did play in the league.
