Biographical Information

Outfielder Andy Strong played for the Crowley Millers of the Evangeline League in 1951, hitting .339 in 16 games. During a game in Alexandria, LA on June 16th, he was struck my lightning and killed instantly. The game had been halted in the 5th due to heavy rain but the sky was clear when the lightning bolt suddenly shot down.
