Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Andrew Ray played in the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim minor league system from 2011 to 2014. He was drafted by the club in the 5th round of the 2011 amateur draft and signed for a bonus of $80,000.

He began his career with a .175/.259/.254 line in 43 games for the Orem Owlz and followed that with a .283/.301/.517 mark in 46 games with Orem. In 186 plate appearances, he walked only five times and had 41 strikeouts. With the Burlington Bees in 2013, Ray hit .275/.300/.533 with 15 home runs, 52 RBI, only 9 walks and 93 strikeouts in 287 at-bats over 75 games. After beginning 2014 by hitting .110/.211/.193 with 52 strikeouts in 109 at-bats for the Inland Empire 66ers, he voluntarily retired.

Overall, he hit .234/.278/.426 with 25 home runs, 109 RBI, 42 walks and 232 strikeouts in in 702 at-bats over four seasons.
