Andrés Gimeno has pitched in Spain's Division de Honor.

Gimeno allowed only 6 hits and 2 runs (one earned) in 14 1/3 IP for FC Barcelona at age 17 in 2009, striking out 13. He saved two games. The problem was that he walked 14 batters. In the 2009 European Cup, he allowed four hits, three walks and four runs (3 earned) in 2 2/3 IP. He also pitched in the 2009 European Junior Championship, fanning three and walking one in 1 1/3 shutout innings. After not pitching for FC Barcelona in 2010 (he was 0 for 1 at the plate), he tossed 3 1/3 shutout innings in 2011 but walked 7 (he gave up 2 hits and fanned 3). He excelled in the 2012 European Cup, with 8 1/3 innings without an earned run (two unearned runs). He allowed nine hits and three walks while whiffing three. He led the Rotterdam phase of the Cup in ERA (Diegomar Markwell was second with no earned runs in 8 IP while neither Justin Kuehn nor Tim Roodenburg gave up any runs in 7 innings).
