Biographical Information

Aly Gonzalez has played and coached in the minors. He hit .223/.352/.264 for the 2009 DSL Red Sox in his pro debut, backing up at 3B primarily. He batted .211/.367/.211 in a return engagement with the DSL Red Sox a year later, now as a backup catcher. He saw most of his action in 2011 at 1B, batting .310/.374/.379 for the DSL Red Sox. He had the best average on the team. He had hit .250/.364/.289 with 44 runs and 47 RBI in 112 games in the minors. He played 37 games at C (.984 fielding percentage), 33 at 1B (.989), 14 at 3B (.893) and 12 in LF (1.000).
