Allentown Chiefs

On July 13, 1957 the Syracuse Chiefs moved to Allentown, PA to become the Allentown Chiefs. The independent team overall went 56-84-1, fifth in the six-team circuit and just half a game out of last. The club was managed by Frank Calo and was last in the EL in offense (503 runs) and pitching (704 runs allowed). The next season they became the Allentown Red Sox.
