Biographical Information

Alexander Koutun was the starting right fielder for the Russian national team in the 1998 Baseball World Cup. He went 1 for 20 while handling 14 putouts error-free. His lone hit was off Chang-sun Oh of South Korea. In the 2001 Baseball World Cup, he backed up Stanislav Lemtyuzhnikov in right, Dmitri Likhine in center and Andrei Kripotchine in left. He went 2 for 9 with a walk and had 3 putouts.
