"Last but not least of the pitchers comes Alexander Voss, the old reliable of the Nashville club last season, and pitched for the National of Washington the year previous, was born in Georgia, but now resides in Porkopolis, O; is tall and lithe, a good batter, and won more games for Nashville last year than any pitcher they had." - from the Memphis Avalanche, March 17, 1886, quoted here
Alexander Voss pitched in the 1884 Union Association, going 5-20. He also had a minor league career to at least 1890.
