Biographical Information[edit]
Alex Ferguson was a forkball specialist.
In 2006, Oliver Perez broke Ferguson's record set in 1925 with the Washington Senators for the highest regular season ERA by a player who started a postseason game that season. The only ERAs of 6+ were 6.18 by Ferguson, 6.17 by Dave Mlicki of the 2001 Houston Astros, and 6.55 by Perez.
