Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Alex Dvorsky was selected by the Anaheim Angels in the 26th round of the 2002 amateur draft. Dvorsky had hit .330 as a college senior and tied for the Missouri Valley Conference lead with 22 doubles. Assigned to the Provo Angels, Dvorsky broke in with a .321/.453/.500 season, leading the team with 47 walks and nine homers. He was ninth in the Pioneer League in average and led the league's catchers with 60 assists. He made the All-Star team.

Sent to the Cedar Rapids Kernels in 2003, Dvorsky hit .252/.340/.374 to complete his pro career.
