Biographical Information[edit]

Alex Dupree was the first Texas League hurler to have three straight seasons of 20+ wins.

Dupree went 25-7 for the 1906 Fort Worth Panthers. He led TL pitchers in fielding percentage and wins (tied with Rick Adams. He no-hit both the Greenville Hunters and Waco Navigators. He had a 23-17 record for Fort Worth in 1907, finishing second in wins (one behind Iva Tevis) and leading with 40 games pitched. He split '08 between Fort Worth and the San Antonio Bronchos, going 20-13 and tying for 6th in victories. His whereabouts for 1909 are unknown. In 1910, he pitched for the Macon Peaches (7-6) and Guthrie Senators (10-5). He was inducted into the Texas League Hall of Fame in 2013.
