Biographical Information[edit]

Alcibíades Jaramillo once threw an incredible 122 consecutive shutout innings in Colombia. He led the 1970 Amateur World Series with 32 2/3 IP. In 2013, the 68-year-old was living in poverty in Colombia due to the low pay of his day, something journalists found shameful. He also helped Colombia to a Bronze Medal in the 1971 Pan American Games, their only medal in baseball in the Pan American Games through 2018. He was with Colombia when they won Gold in the 1973 Bolivarian Games; they would not repeat until 2017.
