Biographical Information[edit]

Al Weston was an All-American Quarterback at Boston College (Class of 1929). In 1928, he helped the team to an undefeated season and won the Eastern Football Championship. He also played baseball for Boston College and hit over .400. He was the team's leading scorer for the 1926, 1927 and 1928 seasons. In 1970, he was inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall of Fame. More famous for his football exploits, he played for the Boston Braves for three games in 1929.

His only minor league action came in 1929 and 1930 with the Providence Grays. He hit .235/~.305/.315 in 62 games for them in 1929 and fielded .981 at first base. In 1930, he batted .322 with 7 HR and 60 RBI.
