Clarence Lee Tiner

Pitcher Al Tiner played five seasons of minor league ball.
Tiner was 5-12 with a 4.42 ERA for the 1921 San Antonio Bears in his pro debut. In 1922, he pitched for San Antonio (0-1, 6.60) and two Texas-Oklahoma League teams (11-11 between them). While playing for the Mexia Gushers in 1923, he led the Texas Association with 23 wins; he dropped 14 decisions as well. He also was 0-6 with a 5.14 ERA that year for the Vernon Tigers in AA, then the highest level of the minors. Tiner fell to 4-4 with two Texas Association clubs in 1924 then was 3-1 for the 1925 Greenville Hunters to end his career.
