Biographical Information[edit]

Aime Proulx played in the minors for two years, 1914 and 1915. In 1914 he played for the Taunton Herrings of the Colonial League, hitting .273 with 5 homers, 81 walks, and 26 stolen bases in 99 games. He split 1915 between Taunton and the Hartford Senators, hitting .264 overall.

He was charged with manslaughter on December 28, 1914, for killing an ice cutter, Joseph M. Cumha, with a thrown stone in the middle of an argument. [1] Proulx's age was given as 25. He was not indicted. [2]

July 8, 1914, was Aime Proulx day at Hopewell Park. He hit three doubles and a single in five trips to the plate, and did not make an error.

He played for the Brattleboro Islanders of the outlaw Twin States League in 1913. He hit .220 in 26 games.
