Agoura is located in southern California, north of the Santa Monica Mountains and 35 miles west of downtown Los Angeles, CA; it is part of the larger but more recent city of Agoura Hills, CA. It was a traditional site for shooting western movies in the mid 20th century. Bryan Petersen and Jason Stoffel were born here.
