Biographical Information

Adonis Tountas has played for the Greek national team, as did his brother Nikko Tountas.

Adonis hit .390 during high school and stole 21 bases without being caught as a senior. He hit .299 at junior college. He hit .291/.389/.394 for Vanguard University in 2011-2012 and fielded .954 as a regular infielder; he was just 3-for-9 in steal tries, the lone negative. In the 2012 European Championship, Tountas (along with brother Nikko and another Tountas, Pete Tountas) was 2 for 13 with two walks, two runs and a RBI as a utility infielder. He handled eight chances without an error.
