Biographical Information

Abubakar Virk was one of 14 pitchers for the Pakistani national team in the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers; they only used five of their hurlers and Virk was not one of them. He did pitch for Pakistan in the 2017 Asian Championship, starting against Sri Lanka and going two innings. He allowed six hits and two runs and was relieved by Inayat Ullah Khan; Pakistan would rally for a 10-2 win, their lone victory in the tournament. He wound up with Pakistan's second-highest ERA and WHIP (Wali Muhammad was higher).
