Biographical Information[edit]
Abelardo Raidi wrote for the El Nacional newspaper in Caracas for 61 years and was also a broadcaster. He covered the 1941 Amateur World Series and was a leader in Latin American sports journalism. In 2003, he was the first journalist inducted into the Salón de la Fama del Béisbol Venezolano.
