Biographical Information[edit]

Aaron Bray played college ball at the UNC Charlotte. Bray is one of only two players in program history with over 200 hits (293) and 200 runs scored (212). The Houston Astros drafted him in the 27th round of the 2009 Amateur Draft and he played in their minor league system for two years. After his playing career ended, he returned to school during the spring 2011 semester to finish his History degree. He also worked with the baseball team as an assistant coach.

In July 2013, Bray joined the Waxhaw Athletic Barn as an instructor in their player development program. He stayed in this role through early 2022 when he joined the Boston Red Sox organization as a minor league assistant coach. His minor league duties in 2022 were not specified. The next year Bray moved to the San Diego Padres organization as a hitting coach for the Fort Wayne TinCaps. In 2024 he was a hitting assistant with the ACL Padres.

The New York Mets hired Bray in 2025 as an assistant hitting coach with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.
